Your Escape from NYC in Central Park

When most people think of getting away from the craziness in the city, they plan a weekend getaway. However, you don’t need to leave the city for an escape. There are plenty of places in the city that offer some relaxation, especially in Central Park. The Conservatory Garden, located across from the Museum of the City of New York and El Museo del Barrio, is your go-to quiet zone. No, really. It’s one of Central Park’s eight designated quiet zones. This 6-acre garden is divided into three smaller gardens, which have their own distinct styles: French, Italian, and English. This is the perfect place for anyone looking to escape the noise and just getaway, even if only for a few minutes. While the picturesque gardens may not be nearly as beautiful during the winter months, this space is still open and welcomes anyone looking for a moment of quiet. Garden hours during the winter months are 8:00am until 5:00pm. You can view more information directly on the Central Park website.
